I have been meaning to make a kimono.
I bought a fantastic blue kimono from the online store 1861 and wanted to recreate it for my mother.
So I did!
I bought:
- 2 yards each of two lycra fabrics
- 7 meters of ornament
Essentially, all you need to do is cut two smaller rectangles that are a third of the bigger (back panel) one.
The all you do it sew them together on the top.
Finally, you make small arm seams under.
I added a flourish embellishment all around the sides of the kimono.
Here are the pictures!
My beautiful mother is modeling it for me!
